Letter: ‘Fighting Irish’ logo offensive, too

If mascots and logos can be deemed offensive to Native Americans (“A symbol of pride, or insensitivity?” June 29), what about other races or nationalities? Surely many Irish Americans are offended by “The Fighting Irish” logo. I am; I find it derogatory.

Should that be changed or the trademark canceled?

Even the Boston Celtics logo portrays a stereotype that some may feel belittles or objectifies their Irish heritage.
