Free meditation session: The Ames Free Library will host an open meditation session on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Queset House. Thirty minutes of meditation will be followed by a tea. Road race: The Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth will hold its 20th annual Run to the Rock on Saturday. The event includes three races of varying distances to accommodate runners and walkers at all levels. The 5K race will begin at Cordage Park, the 10K race will begin at the Boys & Girls Club, and the half marathon will begin at College Pond in Myles Standish State Forest. All three races will finish along the waterfront at Plymouth Rock. The races will start at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is $25 for the 5K, $30 for the 10K, and $45 for the half marathon.
