    Freetown has new town administrator

Freetown has a new town administrator, after its Board of Selectmen appointed David DeManche to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Jack Healey in June.

An Uxbridge resident, DeManche was among 23 applicants and seven finalists for the position. Selectmen chose him by a unanimous vote after interviewing all of the finalists.

DeManche, who began work on Sept. 25, brings more than 18 years experience in local and state government, most recently as Plymouth’s director of community development for the past year.
