WEYMOUTH

Candidates’ night set for Oct. 25

In a tradition dating back to 1971, the North Weymouth Civic Association is holding a candidates’ night for everyone seeking election to local office in a crowded field this political season.

Seven candidates are running for five at-large Town Council seats, six people are running for three School Committee seats, and two of six district councilors are facing challengers.

The candidates for the at-large councilor positions are Chris Primiano, Fred Happel Jr., Christopher Heffernan, and Michael Murphy, and incumbents Michael Molisse, Brian McDonald, and Jane Hackett. Incumbents Patrick O’Connor -- now a state senator -- and Robert Conlon are not seeking reelection.
