The Powder Point Bridge in Duxbury will be closed on Oct. 30 for the filming of “The Equalizer 2” movie.
The movie is a sequel to the 2014 film based on a television series about a retired agent who is a hired gun for vengeance, according to imdb.com.
The website says the movie will star Academy Award winner Denzel Washington, who was featured in the first Equalizer movie; Pedro Pascal, of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”; and Bill Pullman, of “Independence Day” and other movies, including the first Equalizer movie.
The filming was initially set for Oct. 23, but it was rescheduled at the request of the filmmakers. Selectmen approved the new dates -- setup will begin Friday, with the wrap up on Tuesday -- at their meeting Monday.Jean Lang can be reached at email@example.com.
