Direct ferry service from Quincy to downtown Boston will be available with new departure times this fall.
Beginning Oct. 23, ferries will leave Quincy on weekdays at 7:40 a.m. and at 8:25 a.m., and will leave Boston at 4:55 p.m. and at 5:40 p.m. At these times, the ferry leaves from Squantum Point Park in Marina Bay and travels directly to Fan Pier in the Seaport District, arriving 20 minutes later.
The new departure times are based on feedback from passengers and are the result of a partnership between the city and Bay State Cruise Co., according to city officials. The rides are set to end Dec. 1.
One-way tickets are $9 and can be purchased on board only. Parking is available at Squantum Point Park for $5 per day.
