Selectmen talk contract with new administrator

The Board of Selectmen is negotiating a contract with Jim Boudreau to become Scituate’s new town administrator.

Selectmen chose Boudreau earlier in October from three finalists for the position vacated by former administrator Patricia Vinchesi, who resigned after eight years in the job.

Longtime municipal employee Al Bangert has been filling on an interim basis since mid-September.

The other finalists were Tony Marino, assistant town administrator in Hanover; and Kevin Sweet, the Maynard town administrator.

Boudreau is currently the town administrator in Lynnfield, he job he’s held since late 2014. He was Norwell’s town administrator before that, for 16 years.
