West Bridgewater’s finance departments recently made a series of appointments, including elevating some familiar faces.
In August Scott Golder, who had been the town’s delinquent-tax collector for the previous seven years, was named to the vacant position of treasurer/collector. He succeeded John Duggan, who retired in July after 25 years as treasurer/collector.
Recently Jean Upton, a West Bridgewater resident who had been head secretary in the assessor’s office for 13 years, was named to succeed Golder as delinquent-tax collector.
Tami Houde was then appointed to fill Upton’s position in the assessor’s office. A Taunton resident, Houde had worked for the past 13 years as secretary to the Taunton school district’s science and visual arts curriculum supervisor.
Upton began her new position Sept. 20, and Houde started her new job on Monday, Oct. 23, according to assistant town administrator Mallory Aronstein.John Laidler can be reached at email@example.com.
