Apple for you: The Boyden Public Library, at 10 Bird St., will hold a workshop for anyone who might have received an iPhone or iPad for Christmas and would like to learn the basics of the gadgets and how to access the App Store. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 6:30 p.m.
Mental health: Running From Anxiety, a nonprofit, will hold a support group at the library on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. Discussions will include using fitness to promote emotional health and removing the stigma associated with mental illness.
Networking: The Middleborough Public Library, at 102 N. Main St., is holding a networking support group for those looking for a job or making new connections. The event is on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at noon.
Knitting: The Norton Public Library, at 68 E. Main St., is holding a “Knot Just Knitting” event on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m. Attendees, whether beginner or expert, will join a group of other knitters to create items that will be donated to a variety of charities.
Film and dinner: The Norwell Public Library, at 64 South St., is screening the 2016 film “The Women’s Balcony” on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 6 p.m. The movie is about women in an Orthodox Jewish community in Jerusalem who fight back against an Orthodox rabbi while raising money to repair the “women’s balcony” at their synagogue. Dinner will be provided by the library.
Film: The Pembroke Public Library, at 142 Center St., is screening the 2017 film “Dunkirk” on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 1:30 p.m. The movie is about the Allied ’ evacuation on the beaches of Dunkirk, France, during World War II.
Film: The Plymouth Public Library, at 132 South St., is showing the 2015 movie “The Martian” on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 6 p.m. The movie is based on a novel with the same title about an astronaut sent to Mars who finds himself stranded. Light refreshments will be provided.
Zen on: The Thomas Crane Public Library, at 40 Washington St., is hosting a yoga meditation session on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 3 p.m. The session is aimed at helping to reduce stress.
