Marlborough Hospital is in the design and fund-raising stages for the addition of a cancer pavilion to provide expanded services to the community. The hospital is seeking to raise $1.5 million to support construction of the facility, which will be a 14,500-square-foot addition on the north side of the hospital that will include such services as medical and radiation oncology. Groundbreaking for the facility, an extension of the UMass Memorial Health Care Cancer Center of Excellence in Worcester, will be held next month, officials said.
