Youth recreation program

The annual Upton Youth Recreation Nights program, organized by the Police Department and the town’s Recreation Commission, is set to start on Saturday. The events, organized for youths from 8 to 15 years old, are free and do not require registration in advance. The four sessions will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 7 and 14, and Feb. 21 and 28 at the Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School on Pleasant Street. The lineup includes basketball, floor hockey, and dodgeball. Parents or guardians of participants must sign an injury-waiver form, available at the school or online at www.uptonpolice.org. Volunteers are welcome. For more information, contact Police Chief Michael Bradley at michael.bradley@uptonpolice.org, or Officer Carl Ambrosino at cambrosino@uptonpolice.org.
