Firefighter completes training

Fire Department member Kevin Babcock was one of 37 graduates from the state’s recent call/volunteer firefighter training program. State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan and Massachusetts Firefighting Academy director Edmund M. Walker presented certificates of completion to the class in a graduation ceremony at the Department of Fire Services in Stow last month. The program delivers a standard recruit training curriculum on nights and weekends to accommodate the schedule of firefighters in suburban and rural areas. - Jennifer Fenn Lefferts
