Plans for CPR class on Jan. 25

Local police and fire officials will jointly host an adult and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation class at the Police Department on Jan. 25 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The classes are taught by certified instructors from the public safety departments. The courses are sanctioned by the American Heart Association and are considered to be familiarization classes (rather than certification classes) geared at educating students on how to recognize the signs of a heart attack, and other life-threatening episodes, while providing comprehensive hands-on skills that can be used in the event of a cardiac emergency. To sign up or for more information, contact Officer Kristen Dineen at 781-275-1212 or kdineen@police.bedfordma.gov.
