Former Beaver Country Day standout McDowell making a point at Hamilton

Former Beaver Country Day School star Ephraim McDowell of Newton is one of four players with area ties on the Hamilton College men’s basketball team is off to an 11-4 start. A 6-foot guard who was hampered by a foot injury earlier this season, McDowell is joined on the roster by 6-6 junior forward Eric Benvenuti of Concord, 6-3 sophomore guard Matt Dean of Franklin and 6-4 freshman forward Peter Kazickas, a graduate of St. Mark’s School in Southborough from Amagansett, N.Y.
