Selectmen to discuss tax rates

A PowerPoint presentation prepared by the Board of Selectmen to explain recent changes to residential tax bills is available on the town’s website, www.bedfordma.gov. It outlines the increase in average single-home value within the community from $513,500 to $518,300 over the past year, and demonstrates what this means to residential tax assessments. The report also outlines the tax levy increase and the shift of value from the town’s commercial category to the residential property class.
