Death by Chocolate benefit

The Waltham Rotary Club is cosponsoring the 11th annual Death By Chocolate event next Sunday to benefit student scholarships, the Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Clubs, and YMCA branches. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children, and provide access to chocolate creations provided by local shops, restaurants, caterers, and chefs. They will be competing for top honors in five chocolate categories: brownies, cookies, candy, cakes, and unique desserts. The event is also sponsored by the Newton Rotary Club, and will be held in Newton’s Crowne Plaza Hotel at 320 Washington St. from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are available in Waltham at Marcou Jewelers on Moody Street and the Watertown Savings Bank branch at Lexington and Main streets, as well as the West Suburban YMCA in Newton. - Megan McKee
