Help find new principal

Residents interested in helping to find the next principal of the Dale Street School should write to the district’s superintendent, Robert Maguire. He is creating a search committee to recruit and screen candidates for the top job at the school, which has students in grades 4 and 5. Kim Cave left the position in the fall to become the district’s director of curriculum and assessment, and Arlene Argir, a retired principal and teacher in the Ashland school system, has been serving as interim principal. Requests to be part of the search committee should be sent to Maguire by Feb. 17. The committee will consist of teachers, parents, School Committee members, district administrators, and local residents. For more information, call the superintendent’s office at 508-359-2302. - James O’Brien
