The deadline to submit a notice of intent for proposed articles for the annual Town Meeting warrant is Feb. 1. Completed forms proposing warrant articles must be filed with the Board of Selectmen’s office by March 1, and the board reserves the right to reopen the warrant to include new articles that address unexpected circumstances. Individuals or groups proposing articles should consider whether the item addresses an important town need or improves a town asset, why proposals requiring funding are the most cost-effective methods, and whether alternative funding sources exist.
