Her cabaret songs take a turn for the humorous

A Framingham interior designer who has long dabbled in cabaret singing tries something new next week at Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham: “comedic cabaret,’’ which combines her love of singing with her flair for comedy. It’s all part of the next weekly Open Mique series at the popular entertainment venue, and Barbara Larson hopes that her brave example will inspire other would-be comics to take their turn on stage. Elsewhere around the region, a piano prodigy performs, as does the Chagall Performance Art Collaborative and a jazz guitarist.
