Children’s author at library

Children’s author David A. Kelly will visit the Groton Public Library from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday to talk about his children’s series, “Ballpark Mysteries.’’ Kelly, who lives near Fenway Park, will talk about baseball, the writing process, and what it’s like writing mysteries set in ballparks. A question and answer session and book signing will follow. The event is for children in grades 1 through 5. For details and to register, visit www.gpl.org and click on Calendar, or call the library at 978-448-1168. - Jennifer Fenn Lefferts
