Exhibit and film celebrate World War II’s Ghost Army

Lexington filmmaker recalls exploits of World War II’s Ghost Army

Lexington filmmaker Rick Beyer is completing a documentary on a World War II unit known as the Ghost Army. Members of the group used inflatable rubber tanks, sound effects, impersonations and other trickery to mislead the Germans about the size, strength, and location of American units. Many achieved post-war fame, such as fashion designer Bill Blass. Beyer will offer a screening of his film and an exhibit on the unit on March 2 and 3 at the Lexington Depot.
