Checking alcohol sales to teens

The Police Department will be conducting compliance checks during the next few months to ensure local businesses are not selling alcohol to minors. An announcement by the department stated that certain officers have received special training on how to conduct compliance checks of establishments licensed to serve alcohol. The ongoing effort is one of several strategies being coordinated by the Arlington Youth Health & Safety Coalition to address alcohol consumption by young people in town, according to police. - Brock Parker
