The town’s Open Space Preservation Committee is seeking community input on its recently completed draft of the Open Space and Recreation Plan. The committee will hold a public hearing on the document tomorrow. The draft includes a five-year action plan, community vision, and analysis of town needs and goals. The highlights of the report include the acquisition of the parcel of land known as the Veteran’s Freedom Park, and the need for additional facilities for the increasing number of youth sports programs. A copy of the draft will be available on the municipal website, www.town.westborough.ma.us, for review through Thursday. Residents can provide comments on the draft at the hearing, by e-mail to openspaceplan@town.westborough.ma.us, or by mail to Westborough Open Space Preservation Committee, Westborough Town Hall, 34 West Main Street, Westborough, MA 01581.
