Society’s potluck supper today

The Boxborough Historical Society will hold its annual potluck supper at 5 p.m. today in the Grange Room at Town Hall, 29 Middle Road. Jim Gorman will present a program on “Handguns in New England: A Social and Manufacturing History from the Revolution to the Roaring ’20s.’’ Gorman will connect the manufacturing revolution in American firearms production, which started in New England, with some of the changes in society that both drove and were driven by it. Admission is free; call John Fallon at 978-264-0069 to volunteer a dish for the potluck.
