Community reading events

This year’s GrotonREADS selection is “Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game’’ by Michael Lewis. GrotonREADS is a communitywide program, now in its eighth year, sponsored by the Groton Public Library Endowment Trust and hosted by the library. Along with book discussions, the library has a number of community events planned for this month centered on baseball. Kicking it off will be a showing of the film “Moneyball’’ at 7 p.m. Tuesday. For a full list of events, visit the library’s website, www.gpl.org.
