Train to be a literacy tutor

The Watertown Free Public Library is starting a round of literacy-tutor training for adult ESL learners on Wednesday for its 25-year-old Project Literacy program. Aspiring tutors attend five mandatory training sessions that end on April 4. After that, tutors meet with their assigned students - either individually or in small groups - once a week for a minimum of a year. Tutors and students draw on the library’s literacy collection to support learning. To sign up, visit www.watertownlib.org and click on the “Project Literacy’’ link.
