Discussion on Jewish belief

Three renowned Jewish thinkers will discuss the state of modern Judaism on March 29 at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton. Art Green, rector of the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College; Allan Nadler, director of the Drew University of Jewish Studies Program; and Avi Shafran, Agudath Israel of America’s director of public affairs and editor-at-large of Ami Magazine, will speak on the range of Jewish beliefs - from the traditional to the secular - and the question of whether there is a core belief system. The event is part of the Hot Buttons, Cool Conversations lecture being held at the center. Tickets are $15, $12 for students and seniors. The discussion will begin at 7:30 p.m. For tickets call 617-965-5226 or visit www.bostonjcc.org/artsevents.
