The Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents has named two Blackstone Valley Tech students recipients of its annual Academic Excellence award. Two members of the senior class, Alma Karina Lopez and Robert Jordan, “distinguished themselves through their high levels of academic achievement and numerous extracurricular activities,’’ school officials said. Both studied business technology at Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Upton. Lopez and Jordan participate in the Model United Nations at school. Lopez also works at the Carlyle House nursing center in Framingham and is active in her church, and both are in the high school’s Humanities Scholars program.
