Website for 300th anniversary

A website has been launched to mark Lexington’s 300th anniversary - and nine months of celebrations slated to begin later this year. Lexington’s 300th Anniversary Celebrations Committee has launched the website www.lexington300.org. The website will be updated weekly, and contributors will write about the town’s past as well as the anniversary celebrations. Lexington was incorporated as a town on March 31, 1713, and celebrations for the 300th anniversary will run from Sept. 21 through Memorial Day of 2013. - Brock Parker
