Easing transitions for children

On Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., “New School, New Baby, New Home: Preparing for Transitions in the Young Child’s Life’’ will be held at the Framingham Public Library in the Costin Room. The event is sponsored by the library, the MetroWest Jewish Day School, and the Early Childhood Alliance of Framingham, and will feature Phoebe K. Schnitzer, a clinical and school psychologist and director of special education services at MetroWest Jewish Day Schools. Schnitzer, who has a doctorate from Harvard University, has worked with children and families for more than 35 years at area hospitals, schools, and universities. She’ll present practical tips for helping children through transitions and talk about early development, while taking questions from the audience. For more information, contact Jane Cohen DeHaven at 508-782-6932 or e-mail jdehaven@framingham.k12.ma.us.
