Carl Beane, the Red Sox public address announcer, may sound like 6’4’’ and 220 pounds, but he is actually only 5’4’’ and 160 pounds. Fans can meet the man with the famous voice on April 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Newton Free Library. In recognition of Fenway Park’s 100th anniversary, Beane will discuss Red Sox history, his favorite experiences at Fenway, and other topics and bring along memorabilia, including his 2004 and 2007 World Series rings.
