Sewer project resumes

The construction near the St. Mary’s MBTA stop resumed last week as the town finishes critical underground pipe repairs. On tap for the next month or so are the excavation and relining of sewers, gas pipe replacements, and installing new sewers and storm drains. The work will continue this summer, but Beacon Street will remain untouched until after the running of the Boston Marathon on April 16. A neighborhood meeting to review the plans and street closures is scheduled for Monday. For details, visit www.brooklinema.gov - Andreae Downs
