History takes center stage

Actors portraying Paul Revere, members of the Lexington militia, and British soldiers will retell the beginnings of the American Revolution next Sunday as part of local Patriots Day observances. The Lexington Historical Society is presenting the sixth annual performance of “In Their Own Words” at 6 and 8 p.m. at First Parish in Lexington, 7 Harrington Road. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, with discounts for society members. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 781-862-1703, or at the Buckman Tavern, 1 Bedford St., from 9:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. daily. - Brock Parker
