Riders seek alternatives amid T cuts

Riders are scrambling to find alternative rides after the MBTA trimmed several bus routes serving Newton, Waltham, and Watertown, and eliminated rail service to Needham on Saturdays. While riders change plans, officials are pushing legislators to come up with alternative funding scenarios to make more cuts unnecessary.
