Framingham historians find trove of Civil War relics

Framingham residents have become more aware of the town’s prominent place in Civil War history in the past year, as the Framingham History Center has worked to help the town celebrate the war’s 150th anniversary. And in the process, town historians and center workers have unearthed a trove of significant war relics, which now sit at the Edgell Memorial Library, the town’s permanent Civil War building. The anniversary celebration will be highlighted this weekend with a Civil War encampment.
