Layli Maparyan tapped to lead Wellesley Centers for Women

Layli Maparyan, the new executive director of the Wellesley Centers for Women, is an academic who has taught women’s studies at Georgia State University for the past nine years. But she has also worked more directly on social issues. Maparyan, who will start as the executive director July 1, says she was drawn to the centers’ emphasis on research that can change policy in a way that benefits women and girls.
