Vote is set on multiuse town park

Preservation Act funds would convert farm site

Just a week after Norfolk taxpayers voted to cut how much money they pay into the Community Preservation Act fund, residents will be asked at Town Meeting this week to tap into the CPA account to turn an old chicken farm into a community park. Norfolk spent nearly $1 million in CPA money to buy the former Gump’s Farm last year and now wants to use $750,000 more to add a modern playground, community garden and handicap accessible walking trails.
