Softball GAME TO WATCH

Acton-Boxborough Regional at Milford, 4 p.m. Thursday: This game is shaping up to be a discouraging one for hitters. Milford junior ace Shannon Smith has been completely dominant, striking out 230 and allowing zero earned runs through 15 games this spring. Acton-Boxborough, which won nine in a row after losing its first three games, will probably counter with Brown University-bound senior Sarah Ropiak, who has an earned run average of 0.69.
