Benefit for family literacy

Thursday is the fourth annual benefit for the Waltham Family School, a city-run program that partners with four community agencies to promote literacy in families with preschool-aged children by offering simultaneous education for children and their parents four mornings per week. Fiesta for Families 2012 will be held at Hobbs Brook Management, 225 Wyman St. in Waltham on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will feature live music from Los Sugar Kings, as well as an international buffet, and stories from Waltham Family School alumni. Dress is business casual and tickets are $50 per person, and all proceeds go to the Waltham Family School. Visit www.walthampartnershipforyouth.org or call 781-314-3031.
