The Southborough Open Land Foundation has a big week ahead, with its annual meeting Tuesday and the celebratory opening of the new Walnut Hill hiking trail on Saturday. The annual meeting will be held in the Community House, 28 Main St., at 7 p.m. Residents are invited to attend to learn about the foundation’s activities and business issues. The annual Elain Beals Conservation Award will also be presented to Meme Luttrell for her dedication to protecting Southborough’s open space and natural resources. On Saturday, in honor of National Trails Day, the Open Land Foundation is inviting friends and residents to meet at Sawink Farm in Westborough at 10 a.m. to celebrate the opening of a new trail loop on Walnut Hill in Southborough.
