New middle school principal announced


Wellesley Middle School has a new principal. The district has announced its selection of Mark Ito, currently the chairman of the middle school’s English Department. He is in his eighth year teaching at the school, and will be taking over leadership from interim principal Jamie Chisum. Superintendent Bella Wong described Ito as a thoughtful and intelligent teacher and administrator who has earned the respect of the school community. According to Wellesley’s Human Resources Department, Chisum’s salary this year was $131,089. Ito’s salary has not yet been established, according to the superintendent’s office.
