The Hudson Portuguese Club’s children’s dance group, the Grupo Folclórico de Crianças, is celebrating its fifth anniversary Sunday with dance performances throughout the day at the club, 13 Port St . The group, founded in 2006, was designed to help new immigrants feel connected with the Hudson community and to teach American children about Portuguese language and customs through traditional music, costumes, and dance. The group’s first public performance was in 2007 at the Holy Ghost Festival. Sunday’s anniversary celebration features past and present dancers, traditional music, and more.
