The town’s Board of Health and Medical Reserve Corps executive committee are hosting an informational session and ice cream social for potential volunteers Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 66 Westford St. The community-based unit brings together medical and nonmedical personnel to supplement Carlisle’s emergency response resources in the event of a public health emergency, natural disaster, or other situation requiring large-scale assistance.
