Natick artist Elizabeth H. Gorman’s work will be displayed throughout the first floor of the Sherborn Library during June. Gorman, a graduate of Skidmore College who majored in drawing and painting, depicts nature and day-to-day life in her work, using color to “slightly skew the degree of realism in her art,” according to an announcement by the Friends of the Sherborn Library, which sponsors monthly art exhibitions at the library. Gorman’s favorite subjects include gardens, animals, and children, and she works in a variety of media, including pencil, watercolor, and pastels. For this exhibition, Gorman is displaying works done in colored pencils.
