The Friends of the Southborough Library has announced it is in dire need of new members and volunteers to keep the organization up and running. A local organization that has existed for 40 years, it raises funds to support the town’s public library through such programs as the museum passes made available to patrons, and literacy events for children and young adults. In addition to volunteers for its regular fund-raising activities, the Friends organization is also in need of residents interested in running to become the group’s new president and vice president, as many of its current members will retire soon.
