The Northeast Organic Farming Association’s Food Self-Reliance Workshop series is coming to Northborough on Saturday.
The traveling series has been all over the state, offering information about growing and raising food, and lessening household carbon footprints. Northborough resident Josh Richardson will hold a workshop entitled “Organic Backyard Eggs’’ at his home
from 9 a.m. to noon.
Richardson runs Peck and Petal garden services, installing backyard flocks and food gardens for suburban and urban yards. He and fellow chicken-owner Greg Wolfus will run the workshop, which will focus on how to incorporate a small chicken coop into a small yard in urban and suburban areas. Tickets are available online at www.nofamass.org.
The cost is $30 for non-NOFA members. For more information, e-mail ben.grosscup@nofamass.org
