Five bins for collecting trash and recyclable cans and bottles are in place at Sandy Pond Beach and Pirone Park as summer activities heat up. The bins were purchased with a $750 grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection’s sustainable materials recovery program. The grant application was submitted by the town’s Recycling Committee and Economic Development Department.
