Shelter offers spay, neuter clinic for cats

The Medfield Animal Shelter still has a few openings for its spay or neuter clinic for cats on July 10. The cost is $85 for female cats and $75 for male cats, and includes a rabies vaccination. Additional vaccinations and flea and tick treatments are available at a small additional cost. Cats spend the entire day at the shelter and will be able to go home in the late afternoon or early evening. The shelter does not have a program for dogs. To schedule a cat for one of the clinics, send an e-mail with the owner’s name, address, and phone number, and the name, sex, and age of the cat and the date of the clinic to karen-l2001@comcast.net. The shelter is at 101 Bridge St., off West Street, next to the waste-water treatment plant; however, most GPS systems can only find the alternative address of 99 West St . Check the shelter’s website, www.medfieldshelter.com, or call 508-359-8989 for more information.
