The town’s Recreation Commission is accepting applications for its two-week summer program for students ages 10 to 15. The program features fishing, swimming, kayaking, and archery. The program starts on July 16 with a five-day “Adventure Exploration” program, and continues July 23 with an Outward Bound survival course that builds skills including nature survival, rock-wall climbing, and rappelling. Both courses teach team-building skills. The program costs $180 a week or $45 a day (drop-offs are permitted). Each week, the program will have a special activity at an additional cost. On July 18, students will head to Brownstone Park for rock climbing or zip-line rides, with the cost $25. On July 24, students will build rafts and have a GPS scavenger hunt in an extra event costing $15.
