National Grid’s vegetation mediation program has identified a number of trees in need of trimming. Workers have been in the town for the past couple of weeks working on phase one of the program, with about two weeks left of work. Phase two is expected to begin later this month. The purpose of the work is to prevent any trees from becoming a threat to utility wires. Notifications have gone out to residents on streets with trees being trimmed, but a complete list of where the work will be happening is available on the town’s website, www.town.northborough.ma.us. For more information, contact Tim Filteau at Asplundh Tree Expert, the company contracted to do the work, at 508-221-5810.
